Macchina che effettua la confezione blister (detta anche "a bolla") a partire da un film plastico termoformabile (PVC, PS, PE) oppure da un foil d’alluminio nel quale vengono realizzati alveoli secondo tre modalità: in negativo (il film viene fatto aderire su uno stampo cavo mediante aspirazione), in negativo con assistenza meccanica (oltre all'aspirazione è presente anche un punzone che preme il film contro lo stampo), in positivo (con un punzone che discende sul film). Il guscio plastico così formato viene quindi riempito con il prodotto e fatto aderire con presse a caldo sul supporto di cartoncino, alluminio o plastica. Come tipologia di macchina, appartiene alla grande famiglia delle formatrici-riempitrici-chiuditrici.
Machine designed for the creation of a blister package using plastic thermoformable (PVC, PS, PE) film or aluminium foil. Basic techniques for forming blister cavities or pockets are: negative forming (suction is used to form the material to the shape of the mold); negative forming with mechanical aid (in addition to suction, a plug is used to press the film against the mould); and positive forming (a plug comes down and forms the material around the shape of the plug). The formed cavity can be then filled with the product, closed with the lid material (paperboard, aluminium, plastic), and heat-sealed.
