On June 15, 2023, the second international "Women Energize Women" Conference will take place in Munich as part of smarter E Europe, Europe's largest platform for the energy industry. The one-day event will bring together experts and innovators from the fields of politics, industry, and research to discuss urgent issues of the energy transition and develop solutions from a gender sensitive perspective.
Women are still significantly underrepresented in the energy sector. The conference, which is being implemented on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), is setting an example and featuring exclusively female contributions, experiences, and perspectives on shaping the global energy transition – this time with a focus on "Financing the Energy Transition and Investing in Women". The conference offers a rich program consisting of keynotes, discussion panels, and workshops for everyone who wants to advance a green, socially just energy transition.
